How To Stay Warm This Winter Without The Added Bulk

I have never been a fan of adding and wearing many items at the one time just to keep me warm. Too much layering can look hideous, make you feel uncomfortable and hide your attractive silhouette. There is no doubt that winter is that wonderful season where you can experiment with designs, fabrics and colours to stand out from the crowd and show your individuality in a stylish form.

Here are a six hot tips to keep you warm, comfortable and stylish without the added bulk.

Tip 1. Wear thermal underwear beneath your clothes. Thermal underwear will keep you warm allowing you to put on fewer layers, slimming your look.

Tip 2. I am a huge fan of wearing quirky, stylish tights beneath my skirts. There are a variety of tights to choose from ranging in colour, design and fabric. Tights are a great way to express your individuality, keep you warm, feel light and show off a bit of sexy leg.

Tip 3. Choose warmer fabrics to reduce the added layers such as wool or cashmere instead of cotton and linen. Wool and Cashmere not only will keep you warm but also feel amazing against your skin.

Tip 4. Another item which is super stylish and I cannot live without this winter season is my black woollen poncho. This poncho is a great throw over without the added bulk. Ponchos also look amazing over a nice pair of leggings and denim pants. When purchasing a poncho look for a style that is flattering with a bit of edge.

Tip 5. Choose funky bright accessories such as hats, scarves and ear muffs, the bright colours draw attention away from your body and the winter accessories will keep the heat within.

Tip 6. It is worth investing in a warm, classic style jacket that suits your body shape and will take you from season to season. When trying on a jacket make sure you have enough room for the clothing that is to be worn beneath yet still maintain your gorgeous shape.

Forever Stylish. Anna…xx
