I'm Not Fussy CEO and Founder, Rebel Black, is available for interview, speaking engagements and media appearances.

Rebel has spent the past 11 years living and working in regional and remote communities in highly influential and challenging roles with community and regional organisations, and local and state government in the fields of:

  • Community Development
  • Tourism and Hospitality
  • Arts and Cultural Development
  • Social Service Delivery
  • Economic Development
  • Indigenous Community Engagement

In addition, prior to launching I'm Not Fussy in October 2010, Rebel had established and operated two businesses;

Rebels' first business rebsolution (now Community Practitioners Australia) was launched when she was just 22 and was a project management, training and business support consultancy with clients including local and state government, regional community organisations, multicultural groups and outback based businesses. Rebel continues to undertake consulting within the framework of the new business, in a variety of subject areas - but always with a focus on developing rural and regional Australia.

Rebel and her husband Michael launched Dig In during 2004 and succeeded in creating a multi award winning tourism restaurant enterprise providing outback hospitality for groups visiting the opal mining community of Lightning Ridge.

The camp oven kitchen received recognition for innovation through the Regional and State Tourism Awards within 6 months of opening.

In 2009 Rebel and Michael made the decision to 'give' the business away in response to the mounting population loss in their rural community. Through a national media campaign Dig In found new owners who are now operating the business.

Since 2008 Rebel has been a member of the Rural Women's Council (Industry & Investment NSW) and she represents the Far Western Region on this body.

Rebel is a participant in the Australia Rural Leadership Program, a program designed to challenge, support and inspire rural leaders.

Rebel holds a Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment, Certificate IV in Business (Governance) and Certificate IV in Community Development and is a graduate of the 2002/2003 Benevolent Societies New England North West Leadership Program.

Through I'm Not Fussy Rebel knows she can affect social change.

Rebel firmly believes in the power of the media and of people's stories and will harness this through the website to advocate, raise awareness, support, inspire and connect people to health and wellness.

She also believes that corporate Australia has a unique opportunity to lead and drive social change rather than engaging in cheque book charity and has structured her business to harness this opportunity.

Rebel continues to operate her business from a home based office in Lightning Ridge - a 10 hour drive from Brisbane and Sydney and is a unique example of an individual who has not let geographic isolation become a barrier for success.

If you would like Rebel to appear as a Keynote or Guest Speaker please contact her on 0419 639 380.
