What is Lose Baby Weight

We started Lose Baby Weight in October 1 when I was pregnant and realized there was no national support system and healthy and safe weight loss system that was designed specifically for mums wanting to lose baby weight.

 

After a lot of research and from my own experience www.losebabyweight.com.au was born! The positive feedback we received was incredible and we literally get hundreds of emails every day from mums thanking us for the service as a lot of women do struggle to lose weight post baby and having the Lose Baby Weight system has now helped mums lose over 75,000kg – which is just incredible and something we are very proud of.

 

The key part of the business for me was to ensure no mum ever felt pressured to lose weight. We are all bombarded every day in the media about celebrity mums who seem to lose the weight in a couple of months and there can seem like some kind of competition between mums to lose the baby weight in super fast time.

 

We focus a lot on educating women that there is no right or wrong time to lose weight – it is all a personal decision and there is no one size fits all rule.

For some mums it can be 12-24 months after their baby is born where they decide to lose a few kg and for others it is a couple of months. And as far as the celebrities go – mums should never compare themselves to them. Their lives are completely different to most mums lives and they have nannies, night nannies, chefs and personal trainers to help them lose the weight and it is like comparing apples to oranges!

 

The most important point is that if you do choose to lose weight that you do it the healthy way – which means no drastic measures, no diet pills full of hemicals and caffeine and no cutting out food groups – but a healthy, slow and steady loss of around 0.5kg – 1kg a week. It is also crucial to lose weight in a safe way if you are breastfeeding as whatever a mum eats passes through into the milk and of course if a mum is not eating enough nutrients then this can have an effect on the milk supply.

 

The business focuses on healthy weight loss, excellent nutrition and easy to follow exercises – all of which fit into a busy mums life. We also have our own range of products called The Healthy Mummy which were developed in conjunction with leading nutritionist and dieticians as well as with consultation with the Monash University – and the product range consist of The Healthy Mummy Smoothie (which is gluten and dairy free), The Healthy Mummy Fish Oils and the The Healthy Mummy portioned controlled dark chocolates.

 

The website also has over 500 healthy recipes on the site – all with calories per serve on each recipe as well as a free weight loss members area which allows mums to track their weight loss, measurements and exercise to help them stay motivated. And of course we just love our Facebook page which has over 8,000 mums on and which gives daily support and some fun to help all the mums stay focused and smiling.
